Photography Courses & Workshops
I teach photography courses and workshops for Swiss Photo Club in Basel, Bern, and Zürich — in English and German. From camera fundamentals to specialized evening workshops, my goal is always the same: getting you off auto mode and into deliberate, creative image-making.
Group Workshops
Street Photography — Learn to read the city: light, geometry, and the decisive moment. We shoot together in Basel's streets, working on composition, timing, and the confidence to photograph in public.
Night Photography & Light Trails — Long exposures after dark: tripod technique, traffic light trails, and turning the city's motion into graphic images.
Macro Photography — The world at close range. Focus, depth of field, and light when millimeters matter.
Waterfall Photography: Capturing Fluid Motion — Silky water done properly: shutter speed choices, filters, and composition in the landscape.
Wildlife in the City: Zoo Photography — Shooting through glass and fencing, isolating subjects from busy backgrounds, and reading animal behavior to catch the moment before it happens.
From File to Print: Introduction to Fine Art Printing — The complete journey from screen to paper: color management, paper choice, soft proofing, and the settings that make prints match what you saw on screen.
Each workshop runs about 2 hours in a small group. See current dates and book directly: → [My classes at Swiss Photo Club] (https://swissphotoclub.com/en-ch/meet-us/photographers/duilio-a-martins)

Stone Carving
An introduction to stone sculpture through practical work on the stone: choosing the right piece, working with its natural form, and shaping your own sculpture from it. We each work on a piece of steatite, which you take home at the end. Observation and drawing exercises support the process. Tools and stone are provided. Contact me directly to arrange the details.
